About Us

THE Pint & Post just a off the main Holsworthy to Launceston road at St. Giles on The Heath is a really nice little village pub with loads and loads of character.  It is run by Terina and Austin Beldham who took over on the 6th August this year.  They sell a full range of beers wines and spirits including local real ale from breweries in Truro and Rock; and home cooked food is served lunch times and evenings with traditional roasts served for a Sunday lunch. They describe their menu as offering: “Simple delicious  pub food “,  and  they serve local produce from local businesses as much as possible.

Although this is the first pub venture for the couple who moved here from Christchurch in Dorset, it is a logical one which takes into account the realisation of a dream as well as the practicalities of working in a rural part of the West Country.   Terina, who used to work in the NHS, said that she had been longing to escape the increasingly onerous working conditions, and that her husband – a computer engineer – had found work in Exeter, hence the idea of moving from Dorset to our area became attractive. They looked at dozens of pubs before deciding on the Pint & Post, and whilst they have plans for the future I gather they like it just as it is.
